Ignition switch symptoms
I'm trying to figure out if I have the wrong ignition switch in my truck- it's a 70 F100, supposed to be after the ignition switch change, but I'm not sure now. I dropped in a switch from my 72, but as soon as I turn the ignition to on, the truck starts cranking and won't stop until I turn the ignition off. I don't have an earlier switch to try in it, and I don't want to spend the money for one if I don't have to. Does this sound like the symptoms of the wrong switch, or do you guys think something in my wiring is messed up?

Jared, I would suspect incorrect wiring, or a problem elsewhere. Most of those switches are simple and interchangable, as they only have acc, off, on, & start.
I know this aint much but hope it reinforces your thoughts.
