Thanks for googling skipperw but I still can't find my answer. On the JBA site they have the dyno sheet but I couldn't find what they did as far as an exahust after the headers. What have the guys with the ebay headers done for exhaust?
When I had the Banks Torque Tubes on my truck it only took a slight, easy modification to the catalytic converter. Basically all you had to do was cut off the input end of the cat at a certain point then it bolted right up to the new y-pipe that came with the headers, fairly easy install. Like I said earlier, I'm going to be selling the set I have since I'm not using them anymore.
i have borla headers on my 2000. came with y pipe, gaskets and stage 8 locking bolts. direct bolt on. installed myself in a day with 3 broken studs. found a link with good pics and directions. worth a look.
Thanks sulconst2, It looks like the headers/exhaust ends up like this. Borla and Banks come with a Y-pipe, Gibson, JBA, and ebay headers bolt up to the stock exhaust. Sound right?
I found this too http://www.borla.com/media/installations/17185.pdf

as a current user of BANKS Torque tube headers and compared w/ a fellow V-10 owner w/ the "equilivent" borla set up, i speak from proof!! the banks headers produce the best and more power gains than any of them. i agree w/ the staying away from e-bay, i also heard bad things about those "knock-offs"!! we compared 2 trucks w/ V10 auto trans crew cab 4x4. mine w/ Banks and his w/ borla, i had a 35 LB torque gain above his and 28HP! BANKS headers are awsome even he switched after he saw the proof on the dyno........and i got a free dyno because i told him i was right ;-) here is the part # threw BANKS that includes the Y pipe which i have also : BANKS # 49133!! since the headers were installed i've removed the CAT and added a Flowmaster 40 series 3"in/ 2.5" dual out. check out the link for the full list of mods : Team Mudd Racing! hope this helps you descision!!
no, we both have the after-market Y pipes, borla comes w/ the new pipe also. that's why we dyno'd them because he said the power gains would be the same, and i said that they wouldn't be. so we put a bet on it......whoever had the most gains, the other one took the bill! the BANKS headers showed the most gains hands down! let me know if your interested in a set of banks headers check me out here at this link : Team Mudd and i'll see what i can help you out with, and if you have other parts you're looking for drop me a line with all your needs/ wants and we'll work a deal ;-)
