I am new this forum, I have 2003 v-10 extended cab long bed 6spd and I want to put some headers on it. Borla says they do not offer anything for 03, what do think is the best header to go with. I like the idea of a long tube header because they make more power then the shorties on the other ford modular motors. Any feedback you can give me would be great.
I have a 2003 V10 and I am running the Gale Banks Power Pack kit. The system is Headers and all new exhaust. I love the Banks system. The headers have a 5/8" flange! No leaks here. Lots of power gain and nice sound, very mellow but sound cool when you are wide open.
Thats not true. I have a 03 Supre Crew King Ranch V10 with Borla headers on it I installed in 04 and I like them just fine. A little hard to install but good quality.

no gaskets. but direct bolt on.
they are a very good fit and build . coated, great price . longer tubes then the factory cast unit. but all i care about is the fact they work and went on easy. 3 hours both sides on a lift at work. plus being a split flange less stress on the 8 mm studs that hold them on to the heads. not like the big 1 piece cast iron load i took off.
as i was working for vw for so long i saw a lot the old 5 cyl. motors poping end studs like some users have had with their v10's. i don't think i'll see that now.
I had some ebay Gibson knockoff's, great above 3000 rpm. probably a loss below 2k. Now I have Banks Torque Tubes and I can say they are hands down better than the Gibson style.
I have Borla headers. Very high quality, but half a bi*ch to install. Took about 7 hours. I like the power, and the sound with a Flowmaster 40 and a 6" tailpipe is all business.

does this system delete the cat? or do you use your factory cat? i am thinking about this system for my excursion they have mailed me paper work on it but have not gotten it yet and the pics do not show a cat converter so i am wondering? thanks

The Super Crew is available with the V10? I was under the impression the Super Crew was in the F150 family and not available with the V10. Although I do like the idea.
It is not called a Super Cew, Its a Crew Cab Super Duty V10. Your correct when thinking the SuperCrew is an F150 which the V10 isn't avalable in although it would make for a sweet ride.
