It's finally done!
I have had it out on the highway on a couple of occasions in the last week. It is very smooth running.
I don't think that I am getting the low end torque that I did with the carb, but that is due to the high rise single plane intake with large runners, versus the small runner Edelbrock Streetmaster that I had with the carb. It should have much better high RPM power. I haven't had much chance to check that out.
I will continue to tweak the tuning for a few more weeks, until I think that I am getting everything that I can get out of it.

Hey hows it going I am new to this forum and have been reading on your efi build. I am also putting efi on my 78 400, but I am using a 351w intake from Typhoon and a set of adapters from Price Motorsport. I am going to use all 1990 mustang 5.0 harness and computer. I already have these items. I am more curious on your tuning chip. I am really only using mine for everyday use and towing. So I am not looking for all out performance (well maybe blowing some Duramaxes away). But I would appreciate any suggestions you might have. By the way looks good.

howell would be a far better choice if your lookig for tbi, $1200 with custom chip burnt for your engine. I would avoid holley stuff like the plege unless your going to get the top of the line commander setups.
Sorry been away for a while. So has anyone else used or heard much of the Howell kits? http://www.howell-efi.com/ck_tbi_index.html It appears to be complete minus a GM thorttle body. But the one thing it doesnt have is a laptop interface wich I really wanted. Programmability on the fly and also a computer display for tall the sensors/guages. What do you mean by "unless your going to get the top of the line commander setups"... what I was considering is Jegs
the 700cfm holley commander 950. But all the current kits available are commander 950's, so are they all the same or is on more 'top of the line' then another?

I am using a Tweecer R/T. You can't just chip the ECU because of the increased displacement. I will use the Tweecer to get a couple of different tunes, and then burn a chip with the one that I like best.
I took the truck in a Parade today. The motor idled for more than an hour. The outside temperature was about 65 degrees, my motor stayed pegged at 180 degrees. The '72 Chebby with a carbed 350 in front of me had to rev his motor to clear it out. It was loading up from all the idling. I just let mine idle, after the parade was over, I gave it some gas and it took right off.
I don't think that I am optimzed yet, but it feels good and has good throttle response.
