That is what I thought at first, but did not think it addressed the issue of locking the compressor and the cycling that still happens. No need to get defensive, we are all just trying to help each other out here.
Wasn't trying to be defensive, but the compressor does not cycle when that button is released. That is the whole point of the button. The fans/thermostat etc. does continue to function, but the clutch gets no power, which is why the switch is there.
Now, about that watch...
kidding of course, takes to long to type how to build a watch, so we will start with a sundial....
Ok, still just kidding
Chris
(who has learned how to type with eight fingers. Bet I have to relearn from scratch when I get back the use of the other two fingers)
Thanks for the info on how to use the switch. Started driving the Taurus (24-30 MPG) after last gas fill up in truck. I will try the switch if I ever drive the truck again.
Hi Chris, what happened to your hand? It sure seems to be taking a long time for you to get back to normal. I hope everything is okay. Thanks and Good Luck!
Hi, Ruckus, yeah chain saw accident, lots of stitches, and some tendon damage. Actually I am three-four weeks ahead of the 'repair' time. And typing without two working fingers is not bad once you get the hang of it. I hope the two that are not useful will come all the way back though.
Accident was 100% my fault, trying to work with someone who didn't habla English, and he got confused. I just caught the edge of a kick back while he was cutting on a tree branch. I was holding a branch back for him.
Not really a big deal, got some really fantastic new scars, main problem is the touch typing, and no Warcraft!
People envision 'hook hand' when you mention chainsaw damage...
Chris
Chris, about all I can say is you are very lucky. It could have been worse. I heated with wood for several years and cut all of my own wood, out of my woods. Believe me I know how dangerous chain saws can be. They deserve alot of respect. Anyway, glad to hear you are recovering. Take care of yourself!

A/C I will discuss tih you. Watches, I will never ask the time of you. But I think your skills with saws-OSHA could use some honing.
