Front-end squeal

I've got a nasty squeal coming from my front-end when in 4WD. No noise if hubs are locked, but as soon as I pull the shifter into 4WD, it starts right up and gets progressively louder even at constant speed. Haven't checked fluid in front diff yet, been far too cold. Any ideas? Transfer case issue?

If there is no noise when driving with the hubs locked then I would suspect the t-case.

Ok, I tried it again, this time hubs unlocked and engaged 4WD and drove for a bit. No noise. Still suspect T-case?
