I was cleaning out the shop today and hit the shelves where the mustang parts are stored. Which got me thinking, I have a set of ported E7 heads and a GT 40 intake which I am seriously thinking about throwing on my 93' F250. I if I go that far not changing the cam seems kinda stupid to me. The truck already has headers and dual exhaust. So my question is should I use the B303 cam that I have or get something different? It's a 5 speed truck with 4:10's and 33's if that makes any difference. Almost forgot I'm switching to mass air flow at the same time since I have the parts. Think 24lb injectors are too much?
call comp cam. your driving a truck so you want power to begin from idle up to 5500rpms. most mustang cams dont start kicking in till almost 2000rpms like the b303.
if you go with mass air first you will have more to chose from. if you stay speed density you can run 35-255-5 from compcams. its speed density friendly and runs well in the 5.8 add some 1.7rockers, and your ported heads and you wouldnt even need to run mass air. the lower gt40 intake will need to be from a 5.8 to fit your motor the 5.0 lower is to small
