Well I just bought a used 03' PSD CC FX4 / 22000 miles and I must say I did test drive the dodge and hated the back seat as I have kids that are reaching the 6' range. Although the Dodge ran great I am glade I bought the Ford. Not to mention I had a heck of a time trying to find one in good shape in Vegas. I must admit I was stressing when I started reading some other treads on the 6.0's having problems but then after reading this thread, I feel I'll have no problems and watch out, DADDY'S GOT A NEW RIDE!!!!
I just have one thing to say who's your daddy. HEHEHEHE no seriously i have an 03 April build and I love this truck bring the dog or chevy over I'll run them into the ground and make them drool. This truck rocks. Sorry just my two cents worth
...mostly on the streets, doing the work, is the Ford Super Duties. I started looking around and also noticed mostly Fords, pulling the big trailers, as tow trucks, fleet trucks and ambulances. Our fleet of ambulances at work consist exclusivly of Ford F350/450s. Around here I just don't see the Chevys out there doing the work. For me that was a powerful endorsement.
You hit it right on the nose- I know that there is one Chevy tow truck around here, but everything else (Tow trucks, Ambulances, Buses, Municipal trucks, Landscaping trucks, Etc.) are Ford F-series or E-series. Also look at the police vehicles and taxis. All Crown Vic's. Whenever someone starts bashing Ford (especally saying their Japanese/Korean import is much better) I say that I want a DURABLE vehicle, not just reliable. Something that I can beat to hell and will come back many times, and that won't get me rear-ended when I try to get on the highway. I also leave them with this- the next time you see an import towing a heavy load (keeping up with traffic), tell me about it. The next toyota police car, tell me. The next korean tow truck, tell me. No one ever has. No one ever will.
Saw a Toyota commercial yesterday, making an issue of the realiability of the Tundra. The commercial showed a broken down F150. The Tundra drives away as the tow truck comes to rescue guy in the 150. Only thing was the tow truck was a 90's F350, not a Toyota. Either they missed this or figured people would not notice. I'm not knocking the Toyota, they are reliable, I really like my 4-Runner. I drove the Tundra but it just couldn't measure up to the SD's. The Fords are out there doing the work.

Since we are on the subject of Toyotas and reliability I thought that some of you might find this on kind of funny.
Local Toyota dealer was runing an add on the radio for their service department recently. In it, they had a lady (customer) bragging about her Prius how wonderful this dealer's service department was to deal with. She then went on to state that she had the service department's number programmed into the "speed-dial" on her telephones.
I only heard these adds for a week or two at the most. Someone at the dealership must have taken their head out their rear end long enough to listen to the ad and realized it was not conveying the right message.
I thought it was funny, thought you folks might think so as well.
