Wilderness Ford...You have yet to ask for our help. Yes, you have problems...but all you do when we offer advice is get defensive. With people that try to help for cryin' out loud.
All you do is come here to complain. Do what you said you would do on 02/17/2005...
...WELL ENOUGH SAID I WILL NOT BE BACK IM TOO SENSITIVE TOO
Please. Go away...and take your yelling with you. You obviously want / need nothing more from us.
Before you guys run him off, I want to know how much he wants for the truck. He's got to be offering one heck of a deal since we all now know it's an (owner's description) worthless hunk of junk.
wilderness ford, tell us very calm cool and collective what you are looking for from us, don't bitch anymore about the truck, we know. Tell us how …we ….as a group can help you. We will not nor are we trying to run anyone off….There is much you can tell us, each situation you have been in and how it was handled, both by you and your current service department.
Wilderness Ford, do what Tim said. Get your VIN # too. I don't want to chase anyone off, but if you do run (or pull in the fishing line). I want to see those pictures of the Ford Street Rods that have Chevy motors (guy's read his posts) or a web link will work too. I'm waiting..................
Woo, I think a beer bottle just missed my head!, Seriously though, on subject, I had an 03 6.0 that did have a few problems in the first 2000 miles ( failed injectors, bent pushrod,4 or 5 flashes) but I loved the truck as I did my 99 7.3 and it gave me no more trouble for 40,000 miles when I got my 05 6.0. I only have 2300 miles on it but it is the very best yet. Nicely refined over my other two but somehow still familiar. Looks great, runs great, is great. Consider a F350 with 8' bed, my other two were F250 with 6.5' beds and with the new suspension in front I do not think I really lost any turning radius (still not great) and the price is really very little more than the F250 6.5' bed. You also seem to get a little higher truck height (i think?) than the F250. Just saying both are super packages so you might consider both. Wilderness Ford: I really hope things work out for you, being so unhappy with an inanimate object just cannot be healthy.
I have a 03 6.0 PS and except for two flashes and the HFCM replaced,
my truck has run flawless. I was using the Predator and I tried the
65 hp mode one time and got into it pretty when ad Dudge pulled beside
of me. I whooped him like a red headed step child. Anyway after the last
flash, I decided I no longer needed the tuner and I sold it. I have been
debating on the SC 1704 tuner. I have no leaks, no pukes, 18+ mpg
combined city/highway driving, 12+ mpg towing my 8000lb TT. I am
very satisfied with my truck. Except for the exhaust, everything is stock.
I was even asked at work if I wanted to sell it. Nope was all I said.
I am with my 2003 6.0 L PSD!

Well, I still dont know how reliable these 6.0 powerstrokes are. I have a 2004 F350 w/6.0 in it,back in the first of Feb. of this year I posted a message about my engine blowing up.With only 5400 miles on it an injector broke and it flowed so mush fuel that it hydro locked. It bent the Rod and some damage to the cyl. wall and head.Ford replaced the engine (not a new one but a rebuilt) and the Turbo and so far its been running fine.I have only put on 1100 miles since then and on the afternoon of the 4th of this month we are heading for New Orleans.Thats 1050 miles one way from where I live in Colorado and I pray that we dont have any more problems. If we do Im thinking about going back to an old truck, one that I can work on and it will be reliable.Fingers crossed on this trip, will be back on the 16th.......
Well I'll join in with the group that hasn't heard of a problem 6.0, other than on this site. On the other hand, of the 6 people I know with Duramaxes, 3 are happy (but don't stress the truck), one had an engine replaced after the injectors blew out (an '03), one is currently in CA Lemon Law legal action (tows a big gooseneck horse trailer) and one has a new '05 and says the "jury is still out" (he's had emission problems and it's been in the shop a bunch).
So from my informal poll, the Ford is still the answer. And when we decided to order (another) Ford, we left $3500 in GM credits (GM card) on the table, so I could have had a D-max for about $5k less than the new 350 will cost me. Guess I'll have to save that for a vette :-)
I've always owned "old" Ford Trucks and never thought I would buy a new one, as I have long believed that All American truck builder's quality control had spiralled down the drain. Well, I have been proven wrong in my purchase of my 05 SD PSD CC. This truck was priced a little higher than I ever thought I would pay for ANY vehicle but I am soooooo happy with it. Ford did an awsome job in refining the Super Duty's and the Power Stroke engine.
No regrets from this guy!!!!!!!
I'll never let go of my 74 F250 4x4 but I sure am glad I am one of the lucky folks to be able to drive an 05 Super Duty too. Great truck!
'04 cc dually with 15K, no major problems what so ever...a few little things that takes a dealer less thana day to fix...all in all very satisfied. To also comment on the problems and people who dont like the 6.0, sure all makes and models are going to have problems one way or another, but look at what these trucks are made for, pulling and hauling, and I dont think no one on this form, or anyone else I know that owns one, ever ever ever complained about the trucks not doing the job, and doing it right...With the numerous problems reported, and sensors and what not, no one complaing about the trucks not being able to pull a house of its foundation!!!
