86 e150 scanner code

I hooked up a scanner to my 86 e150 van because I was having trouble with my fuel pump not coming on.
It gave me a code detecting problems with the edis (electronic distributorless ignition system). I don't know what this is or what to do next. Thanx for any help.

An 86 E150 did not have Edis . If the fuel pump isnt running a code scanner will be of little help to you . First check the fuse , relay , wiring to & from the pump . Also check to see if the Inertia Switch has been tripped .

Check all of your wiring also. Just a few months ago i had a problem with a wire that just got corroded and the pump wouldnt turn on. I believe the new harness for it was like $19.
