Just pulled the trigger on a truck after 2 months of looking...how did I do? Be honest:
2000 F250 XLT 7.3 4x4 Supercab 124K Miles
8" Lift with Bilstein doubles up front, singles rear
18" Chrome wheels with 38" Toyo tires
4" stainless exhaust, K&N, Superchip Gold (100 HP)
Very serious stereo...more than I need by far.
Some dents but nothing can't be fixed, some interior wear.
$16,500
Sounds like you find a good deal!
You didn't mention in your list if you had gauges. ? I'd start looking at a set if you don't already have them, with the lift and tires you have along with the 100hp chip, it'd be wise to monitor your egts and tranny temp.
Good luck with it, and get some pics on here!
Get those injectors flushed, helped my rig @ 120k. Watch that tranny, consider 4:56 gears or better. I have 35s and went to 4:10 to help save my tranny, quicker off the line too!
Thanks! I'll get pics up as soon as I get my brand new Canon digital replaced after it crapped out on its first day! When I get gauges, what do I want and how do I use them? I am going to get the gear reduction and the flush is a good idea too. Thanks again!
Check out 4 wheel parts wholesalers for the gears. Make sure they have a lifetime warranty. Splurge for the master install kit (worth it). The only place I found for the injector flush is from the dealership although others might provide the service for a lot less.
For gauges, a pryometer(Exhaust Gas Temps) and tranny temp(for automatics) would be the most important, and many people also get a boost gauge which is a "nice to have". You can get all three in a package along with a A-pillar mount to mount right in front of you at eye level, and doesn't cause any blind spots, at least mine didn't.
