Since I only use my truck for hauling my boat around. It being a 4x2 open differential. Depending on the ramp. Sometimes only way to pull the boat out is to have the boat power out. Not my idea method.
So I am looking to replace my 4x2 with a 4x4.
I found a 4x4 at a local dealer that has some odometer discrepancy.
The odometer currently shows 75k. According to the carfax. The last report was 65K eleven months ago by DMV (new title). The second last report shows it was 125K twelve month ago by Auction (sold).
Somewhere after the auction and before it got the the DMV. The odometer went from 125K to 65K.
To me that means that this vehicle is clearly 135k (125K + 10K).
The vehicle is clean and the asking price do reflect the 135K. I am thinking of making an offer of ~1500 less due to this discrepancy - just to cover my azz.
If they do accept my offer. How do I bring back the odometer from 75k back to 135k? If some unsavy folk can bring it from 125k to 65k? I am sure it can be reversed.
