I have an 01 Superduty Extended Cab. I am wanting to put a single subwoofer (either 10" or 12" preferably) under the rear seats. Is this possible to do?? or is the only option to buy the Q-Logic Console subwoofer box??? If its possible to build your own to put under the rear seat then does anyone have the specs to build this subwoofer box??? Thanks a lot
How much thump do you want? When I had my '95 supercab I had a sub in the middle of the floor with quick disconnects so I could remove it if I was carrying passengers. With that in mind go as big as you want! A console sub is nice though, you don't have to remove it.

Hey Dan, you don't happen to have that sub box lying around somewhere and want to sell it do you??

Sorry it went with the truck when I sold it. Three weeks later the guy fell asleep at the wheel and totaled it. He said he was lucky to be alive. Somehow the guard rail that he ran into came through the windshield. When the truck finally came to a stop he had a new addition next to him in the form of a guard rail shaped armrest. He walked away!
I built a box that fits in the center seat up front, very similar to the JL stealth box. It works great, however, I rarely have anyone that sits in the center up front, so the 1" of foam across the top of the box isn't an issue. I wouldn't want to ride there, but everyone that has said it is not bad.
I moved my rear seat forward 4" on the base only, built the box and now have four square Kicker L7's accross the back. That left room for the two amps under the seat, plus it's cleaner and not visible.....although, the "Hit" from the subs is a dead give away. I didn't like the console single 10" sub, there just wasn't enough there and it moved around a lot. If it's done right, the cabs on these extended cabs allow for excellent sound. George Straight has never sounded better! NICE!!!
Edub, check out my gallery and look at the center console. I built my own with two downfire 10" Rockford Fosgate HX2's powered by a 1001 bd amp. Had the box linexed and put a storage space with a leather covered lid on top. Was able to get the proper amount of air space and everything. It'll make your eyes jiggle if you crank it up!
I have an 02 extended cab and have the Q logic box that looks like a console for the rear seat. (not the center console) It holds 1 10" sub. You'd be surprised how much thump you can get out of a 10 when you throw the juice to it. I have a set of 6.5" separates and the 10 running of an 1000W Fosgate and am very happy w/ it.
I fit an 8'' bazooka tube under the back seat, the seat actually holds it in place, just barely fits. Sounds really good, installed in less than an 1 hour. Plus, it all Quick disconnects so you can remove for extra storage in about 15 seconds. It does not protrude beyond the seat either so you can still have the back seats fully functional. One down side (or up depending on the person!) is whoever sits on top of the sub is in for a treat!!!!!
I dont have a clue, it's self powered, simply plug in the power and a few high end leads(direct from the speakers) and you are good to go. I told the stereo shop I wanted bass without sacrificing space and that is what I got.
