I shold just keep my mouht shut but I have been a mopar man most of my life and only recently bacamea Ford man when I purchased a Bronco for a winter ride.my regular truck is an 03 dodge laramie 1500 4x4 hemi quadcab. It is loade witht the leather and cd player.I am the second owner and it was completely stock when I purchased i and it runs to 60mph in about 7-8 sec..More than once have I happened upon some teenager in "mommys" car at a stoplight and have beeten then all except for...well I once happened upon some teenagers in a early to mid 90s Tarsus. It was a friday evening last fall coming past the mall and they pulled out in fron of me which got me a little P.Oed so I pulled next to them at a light which is when I realized they were teenagers.I could see there were a little nervous about what I might say.witht the windows down i could hear one tell the driver to floor it when the light turned so I figured I would show them that they would'nt get away with out a good lecture on driving properly so I figured I would just floor it as well and let them hear it at the next light, well we both floored it at the same time and that damn Tarsus beat my hemi off the line and it was way less than 1/8 of a mile before I got next to them and by that time better judgement took over and decided if they were to wreck I did not want it to be from me racing them. Now everytime I come to a redlight and get next to a tarsus I think twice.
Het guys, just found this thread.I work at a Chrysler garage, and I have to be honest with you,the hemi in the truck isn't real hot without some basic mods, now the same stock 345 hp in the 300 C is hot,and is really cool to drive when you disengage the traction control, the GM techs in our business were really impressed.Just my 2 cents,John
