I'm not sure exactly what the Dodge STOCK times are but will find out.The dodgetruckworld.com site has actual hemi 1500 owners claiming between hi 6 seconds and low 7s but that is with light mods done.I will see if I can find stock times.I did find out that Ford Taurus SHO 0-60 times of 4.1 seconds, thats a stock 4 door sedan.
I beleive zombie. I've witnessed how fast these things are off the line first hand. I will stay out of this arguement, or "debate" as some prefer, because i really dont know anything else on the subject.
you do realize its a 5300+pound giant brick doing the 1/4 in 13.3 thats not bad my 04 Hemi Quad Cabs runs a 13.9 on 20" street tires and I don't even have NOS. My truck isn't a super fast truck (I know that) but I'm only doing 300hp or so at the wheels (haven't dyno'd yet but thats a good guess) I have no real power adders!!! Check my gallery (Time Slips) look at what mods I have I'm positive a 5.4L won't run what my truck runs with those mods, Hell not even the roush Stage II F150 runs better times then my truck and its Superchaged... (From what I've seen in the mags)
Tell you guy what once I install my S/C next month I plan to dyno it and I'll post the results here!!!
Yes, and I also realize that my 100% stock truck at 5000 lbs went 13.48@101.5 without even checking the air in the tires, and has since gone 13.18@104.1 with an exhaust and air filter on 18's. How much are you gonna have invested in that thing to make it go?
Another user did the google search thing and found a site but it did not list my exact year, make and model and for the cars it did list it failed to explaine how it arrives at it's numbers. The site I gave the link to does list my year, make and model and it explaines it's numbers,HANDS ON TESTING of it's own, then it compares it's numbers with other car magazines results for that same model then figures out average. So if you want to get real technicial about,if 6.0 flat was the average then some of the magazines that tested it undoubtedly had a QUICKER time. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink. The non believers must have been beaten by the hemi.

Reason: spelling
The hemi isn't all its cracked up to be I have long tube headers 2 1/4" into a single aero turbine muffler and out duals 2 1/2" and a K&N filter on my truck with a 302,going down the highway going up a hill running even with one. My friends 77 with 9" of lift with a well built 400 blew the doors off of one we were at a gas station he said that thing is slow and a piece of crap(fully restored truck too) shut that dodge down smoke rolling from a set of 35s it was great mr. hemi didn't even stop to make his exscuse.

True I don't own a ford truck but then again if people who owned other truck brands wouldn't come on here you guys wouldn't have so much fun!!!
I do have an 04 GT though (Member of mustangforums.com)
"Silver Slick" you say your truck runs a 13.1 thats great congrats, but I'm will to bet thats a lightning??? right?
3rdshift: OK, lets see, according to your link a 95 buick roadmaster does 0-60 in 3.1 secs. That's faster than just about every "supercar" ever made. It also says a 2005 hemi ram (3/4 ton mind you) does it in 5.9. Do you see a trend here? The website is pure crap.
Adding 2 seconds to the times of the Taurus (either one) would still be VERY good times. My youngest niece believes in unicorns (in fact, she's seen one!), I don't give her a hard time, I'll go easy on you guys too.
I just did a little more checking and the 0-60 time is the same for the Station wagon. If you scroll down to the bottom left cornor of the page I listed it will have a link to show the Taurus wagon 0-60 times among other info but the 0-60 times are the same.
Which engine is in the Taurus Wagon? A lot of them came with the 3.8L "Essex" engine, the one that liked to blow head gaskets. However, putting the HG issue aside, that 3.8L had some pretty good torque numbers (200+ lb/ft or so) and I would actually expect it -in the Taurus- to give the heavier Dodge -with its gas guzzling Hemi- a run for its money. I had a '93 3.8L Sable for several years and while I sweated each and every day wondering whether a HG was gonna let go, I honestly can say that I never really felt "outgunned" in it while I was commuting back and forth to work on some very busy expressways filled with Beemers and Acuras.
FWIW, the Taurus SHO engine is unique to the SHO, it never came in the Wagon or any other type of Taurus for that matter.
My brother in law bought a 98 or 99 Taurus SHO when new.I know it sounds great and has an okay ride.I am wondering if it could leave the Hemi trucks in the dust?Based on what I have read here I would think any Taurus could smoke a Hemi, even if it isn't a Taurus station wagon .Have Fun and Be Safe!
