hey bronco 351,
come down this way and I'll spank you EVEN worse than that little hemi did no joke expeditions and broncos are among the slowest things on the road today even with 5.4's and 351's. I have driven many and trust me they were far from being sick.
I don't mean to be rude but soccer mom SUV's aren't made for racing......well maybe with nitrous and 6lbs boost

Im not saying that my Expedition or my Bronco are built for racing. Im just saying I couldnt keep up with the hemi. Any my Bronco is not stock, its got a 3" Flowmaster exhaust, a Custom chip, and a few edelbrock intake pieces (its a 96 Model).
Anywho, to seriously say that a Taurus with a 0-60 time of nearly 8-9 seconds can beat a 345 hp/ 375tq truck, just doesnt hold any water.
IF this would be true, which its not. Why hasnt ford ever said that their oh so mighty Taurus can beat the pants off a Hemi. I think that would be a good marketing tool, dont you?
Bottom line is it just aint true. We can all talk about it till were blue in the face but at the end of the day a Taurus is not faster than a Hemi, Period.

Although I think the hemi is a joke, I've got to defend it a little. The throttle by wire system is rumored to kill initial throttle response and really hurt them from a standstill. In a stoplight to stoplight situation that might be enough to change the outcome of the race.

you do realize its a 5300+pound giant brick doing the 1/4 in 13.3 thats not bad my 04 Hemi Quad Cabs runs a 13.9 on 20" street tires and I don't even have NOS. My truck isn't a super fast truck (I know that) but I'm only doing 300hp or so at the wheels (haven't dyno'd yet but thats a good guess) I have no real power adders!!! Check my gallery (Time Slips) look at what mods I have I'm positive a 5.4L won't run what my truck runs with those mods, Hell not even the roush Stage II F150 runs better times then my truck and its Superchaged... (From what I've seen in the mags)
Tell you guy what once I install my S/C next month I plan to dyno it and I'll post the results here!!!

I have a feeling the new 150 could beat a 150. Ive read over on another Ford forum that the new 150 has beaten the hemi. Several people have posted this. But who do I believe? I really believe all the hype i here about the hemi that it should be the fastest truck on the road which it is not.

http://www.autos.com/autos/car/midsi...ford/taurus/gl I suggest some people,no names mentioned do a little research before listing 0-60 times for vehicles they don't know anything about.If that somebody were to check the link listed above they will see that independent test results show a 0-60 time for a stock 1995 Ford Taurus Gl is 6.0 seconds Flat.That is a basic family sedan.If you check Dodgetruckworld.************.com they will see realworld Hemi owners with slight mods at 7.0 seconds for a 0-60 time.Now tell me how the Taurus story don't "Hold water"

I just did a little more checking and the 0-60 time is the same for the Station wagon.If you scroll down to the bottom left cornor of the page I listed it will have a link to show the Taurus wagon 0-60 times among other info but the 0-60 times are the same.

I just looked up my truck (04 F150 4x4 Lariat 6.5 Bed 3:73 Limited Slip Styleside 143 Inch Wheelbase) and the 0-60 time is 7.1 seconds.Do you know what these Dodge times are supposed to be?I have added performance exhaust and intake.I don't think I would have needed them though.
