Hi guys I have a 89 F250 that won't start. It will crank but won't turnover, I have replaced the battery and the both terminal cables but it still won't turnover. Do you think it would be the battery cellanoid or the starter? Please help!
Head down to your local autoparts store & pick up a Spark Tester. It looks like a spark plug with an alligator clip attached to the shell. Should cost $10 or less.
Remove a spark plug wire from a plug & install the Spark Tester in its place. Clip the alligator clip to a good engine ground. Have a helper crank the engine while you watch the spark tester. You should see a fat blue spark each time that cylinder fires.
