The cheapest ticket I've ever recieved...
Louisiana in the mid 80's when the speed limit was 55mph.
For in state drivers the fine for going 56 - 65 mph was a whopping $25 ! I was driving a van with Texas plates so when the cop pulls me over and sees my La drivers license.
he tells me that if he'd known that I had an in state license he wouldn't have bothered ...
I lived there for 3 years and was not impressed with the La HiPo.
Mine was a 20 over 35, which is 55-35, said he clocked me at 57, but "cut me a break" the ticket was 150, I fought it in court, hit a speed trap, he clocked me right at the line where it drops, only had to pay court costs of 100, plus the drive up and back, but hey, insurance isn't hurt
$341 90mph in a 65mph... couldnt go to traffic school... lost license for 30 days... excessive speed... its all because Im under 18... that was my 1st offence.

bet some cop had a great running chevy after that.
not speeding but i got a $8500.00 overweight fine in California at the Cajon scales on I-15.
went to court and beat it thanks to the shipper who screwed up and basically loaded two loads on me.
> a cop that is bent out of shape for not getting his daily supply of donuts.
I think you mean bent out of shape for having to stop people from breaking the law that should know better.
They are public servants paid to protect the public.
then they should be looking for people who are comiting rapes and murders not a teenager who is trying to get to work on time i got fined 300 for doine 57 in a 35 i think that with all the crime in CA they could pend there time doing somthing about dangerous criminals.
The worst I ever heard of was on the news, A Motorcycle rider got nabbed in Minnesota for going 205mph in a 55mph zone. He got some jail time for that one. Can't imagine anything more expensive then losing your freedom! I'm sure he got one hell of a fine also.
Yea I have driven the section of Highway he was on, and it is fun, but only straight for about 3 miles then its all hills and curves.
AND!!!!! Guess who got another one today!!!! 81 in a 70!!! these cops up here are NUTS, only got a fixit ticket though i had my *****box work beater and one of the license plate lights was out. i got real lucky, and found out my speedo is WAY off, it said i was going 76, I even had the cruise set. the good part is that I was a lil hung over, and only had gotten 4 hours of sleep and while the cop was in his car running my liscense I fell asleep on the window . I thought it was funny, he didnt, but I made it to work on time, and NO FINE.

Running late is no excuse. You still broke the law. There are speed limits for a reason. Leave a little earlier next time.
I hope the woman never reads this, but I took our '02 T-Bird out for a 'spin' last year. It was in the wee wee hours of the morning with no traffic what-so-ever. I never saw the cop, but he said I had blown by him about 2 miles down the road, and he didn't think he'd get caught up to me in time. I thought he was going to let me go as he started chatting with me about the car, what kind of engine it had, gas mileage, etc etc.
