I just purchased a non ruuning 85 Bronco. The front drive shaft was taking out and the intake hoses and box were removed. I tried every combination I knew to try to put the air box back but it doesnt work out. are they any pics of the correct location on the airbox anywhere. Need skilled pro help.
And second thing, why would the guy have taken the front drive shaft out?
The absolute first thing you need to do is to buy the Haynes #36058 and Chilton #26664 manuals. Both have the pictures you'll need or diagrams and I'm thinking this is just the starting point for addressing issues with this Bronco. You'll find a lot of help in them.
Bad hubs are easily replaceable by new Warn Premiums, manual hubs. You should probably go with them. Bad u-joints are going to take care of themselves as you need new ones with the new drive shaft. A bad t-case is a bit more work.
Ive come acroos two versions of Chilton Manuals, one has red and white cover and the other cover is green and white. Are there is differences in the two?
I'm rarely on that side of the world but can always work something out to help. There are several Chilton's available, Mine happens to be green with FORD written in it on the upper left hand corner with a red/silver/red F150 on the cover. Covers pick-ups and Bronco 1987-96 repair manual. Was still logged on but had company, sorry for the late reply. Just make sure it covers the appropriate years and type vehicle.
