i disconnected the battery to change it now the abs light flashes on and off and sometimes it stayes solid

 

count the blinks and note the pauses. It's probably flashing a trouble code. If your truck has one speed sensor in the differential, it is most likely the problem. Unbolt it, pull it out, clean it and put it back in.
