ABS question..

Been having an issue with my ABS. I know that my front hubs are needing to be replaced and recently my ABS light came on and my braking is kinda wierd (pulling bad to the left)
Can bad hubs fool with my ABS?

Yes. If the bearings are getting loose and pivot in their races, it will also throw the tone ring out of alignment. With the tone ring out of alignment your ABS won't function properly.

Great. Thanks for your reply.
I'm hoping this is the issue since I know my hubs are bad.

I'll bet it is....also if the bearings are grinding and throwing debris, the shavings will start to mess up the signal for the magnetic pickup sensor for the ABS...either way, I'll bet its your hubs.

lol, don't know, you'd have to go look. The majority of the truck's I've seen have coarse threads, but some do have fine. Can you take a picture?

Well other than looking at them I don't think there's an actual way to know. So you've got a 50/50 chance and IF you're wrong, you can always just pound out your old studs and put them in the new hubs.

May want to check your brake pads as well. That will throw an abs light and will cause to pull one side or the other.

Will do..
When I get home to the truck i'm gonna pull the wheels and inspect.

I replaced a caliper on the passengers side and the pads and rotors a couple months ago.

Since I have to see if I have fine or course threads I will pull both tires and inspect anyways.
