Interestingly enough, NEITHER SP nor LV seem to say synthetic on the bottles or the product sheets.

The bulk of the base oil in both seems to be the same description. Both the Lube Report articles imply Group III.

I will keep looking. I did this about 5 years ago - I know I have more stuff saved somewhere!

Absolutely not needed -- 99% of the time you educate me (us) so the occasional time when you are "part" on point?! gimme a break They don't have an emoticon that I'd like to use, but if it were there, picture in your mind: several of those little guys bowed over with arms out straight and moving up and down, and the caption "we're not worthy..." (but sure glad you spend so much time making us feel we are )

Yeah i get that regularly. The cookies track what you looked at, and a week later here comes a coupon for it... i get ads on fte for sites i visit too..

 

I checked the local Ford dealer before buying my LV at O'Reillys (I had some rebate credits with them). Their price is the same for Mercon SP, LV or V which is $5.99/qt -- has been that for some time...

 

Luckily O'reilly's has expanded into Orlando and i stopped by this afternoon. Bought their whole case of motorcraft SP $5.99/qt!! Their rotella T6 was 27.99 so i will need to watch for a sale...
