EOT ECT

ive been reading up on the difference and what a good temp is for both the eot and the ect, i just got a lot of things done to my 05 6.0 psd. head studs (arp), egr delete, powermaxx turbo and when they did the work they rebuilt my oil cooler. the other day going down the road i was checking out my temps and the eot was 235 and the ect was 196. They just replaced my oil cooler supposedly, should i be worried or could it totally be something else, any feed back would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Is your delta after the supposed rebuild or the replace? I've never heard of a rebuilt oil cooler.. Did they flush the system prior to replacement? Are you running a coolant filter? Why do you say supposedly? If you don't trust the shop why did you take it there? You have a lot of blanks that need filled in.

when i got all of this stuff done i also got a sct livewire ts, so ive been monitoring the ect's and eot's. yes this is after they rebuilt it and they flushed the system. they sell oil cooler rebuild kits all over the place. i was concerned because you hear a lot on this topic. i am not running a filter on the coolant system. I was going down the highway about 75 mile per hour and i looked and my dot was 235 and my ect was 196, im concwerned and just dont know what to do, could it be the thermostat?? thanks for the help

Your ect is in a normal range. A little lower than mine at 75. I'd be at 204 but your eot's are definitely out of line if on level ground and fully heat saturated. Don't sound good for your oil cooler.

I just had my oil cooler replaced and at 75 (nothing in tow) my ECT 192, EOT 196.
And thats with my Banks cranked up to 6.
They showed me the cooler after and it looked like a sealed unit. They cut it open to show me the sh-t inside. Not sure how it could be rebuilt.
My deltas were 25-30 if I got on it before the change.
