What has everyone monitoring there EGT's noticed from the summer temps vs winter temps. Does the colder air outside cause your EGT's to drop, stay the same, or go up. Thanks for any info!
Normally colder air causes an engine to run leaner. This should make your egts raise slightly in the winter. BUT i do not have a gauge as of yet so can't say forsure.
I have had gauges for close to 4500 miles and watch closely. It did seem odd to me that the same road and higher ambiant temp made for lower EGT. Nice to have an explanation lancer. Garth

My EGT's are up now during winter just while daily driving and I thought it was my EBPV staying slightly closed but it may be from running leaner as Lancer suggests.
