I go to my local McDonald's today around 11:00 am. I am the only vehicle in or around the drive threw lane.
I place my order, pay at first window, stop at the pickup window. The girl tells me to pull foward to the red line past the pick up window and my order will be brought to my truck. I look around not another car in site. None behind me or even at the first window or the menu/order spot. I say no thanks if another car pulls up behind me I will move to the red line.
She says we are on a timer and you must pull forward. I again say no thanks if another car pulls in behind me I will move up. She pulls the manager over to the window and he advises I must move to the red line. So I pull to the red line and they immediatly walk out the door and hand me my food. Whole scene was less than 90 seconds.
I did make the girl go back inside to get me some ketchup and when she brought the ketchup I told her I forgot to ask for salt. She had to make another trip for the salt. No other car came to/through drive threw the entire time.
I rarely eat at McDonalds since the food has gone down hill over the last few years. I was in Wal-Mart a few weeks ago shopping with my daughter and we were hungery but weren't finished shopping, so we figured we grab a couple of Big Mac's at the in store McDonalds to hold us over. Big mistake, the foods gotten even worse, the meat they use must come right off the cows butt. I got two Big Mac's and had to spit out at least six pieces of gristle from each burger, not to mention no flavor at all. Never again !
I haven't eaten their seasoned cardboard in quite some time. Their sausage egg Mc Muffins are about the only thing I'll eat. At least during the hour that they actually serve breakfast.
By you moving forward it showed you were served in less than a minute. If you stayed the sensor would say they were taking too long. I love McDonalds. The sausage, egg and cheese McGriddles are fantastic.
No butt cheese on the ketchup packs so I'm good to go. Didn't use the salt because it's unhealthy. Salt could cause high coleterol and block my arteries

Yep. When I worked at a McD's (my first job), they'd hit some button to clear orders off the screen, so the time would stay down. The times would be great, even with a line miles down the road.
The breakfast sausage si good, but I have a hellacious craving for Denny's links. I may dart out to Denny's right about now.
i went there a coupple of years ago and ordered a few cheesburgers with nothing on them. when i got home it was 2 buns and katsup, i was mad. ya thier food sucks now, del taco is awsome
From what I have seen a lot of the people who work there are a few brain cells short of a full head. Now don't take this as an insult if any of you work there, because there are a lot of good people who work there too.
