Factory Cd Changer

I have a 02 F-150. I bougth it used and it had a factory cd changer in it. The problem I'm having is that when you play a cd and then switch back to the radio or turn the it off when go back to the cd it won't play it's like the cd just spins, you have to switch to a different cd for it to play. Does it just need to be cleaned or is the changer going out?

Sounds like its going out, but try and clean the laser before you replace it, or if your sure your going to replace it, then take it apart, and if you fix it great, if not who cares you were going to replace it anyways.

Thanks for the reply. I thougth it might have been a common problem with a common fix. I probably just keep using it until it goes out and then buy a new one.
