They are suggesting to remove the spout jumper. In my truck it is gray, not black.
It is 3/4 x 3/4 x 3/16 inch in size.
You will find it in the harness within a few inches of the TFI connector. By removing this jumper you prevent the PCM from controlling spark in any way, and the ignition timing will be fixed at 10BTDC In your case I don't think it will help, because it appears that your primary ignition system is working. But it is worth a try.
