05 F-250 CC FX4 Lariat.. 2542 miles and no problems, just one concern with the acceleration that has been taken care of. 12 in town and 15ish on the hwy. not as good as most are getting, hopefully it will get better and at least as good as my old 7.3 (17.5mpg). Other than this, I love the truck and plan to drive it until it falls apart (hopefully that will be far past the 250,000 mile mark)!!!
I have a 2005 PSD CC LB with every option except dual alternators. I have installed the Superlift 4" lift and run 35" Toyo Open country tires on the factory rims. Truck has almost 5000 miles with no problems at all. This is my first Super Duty and my first diesel. I only get about 12mpg city driving and I have installed an AFE intake as well. I really hope the mileage gets better. If anyone has lifted their truck I highly recommend installing a Dual steering stabilizer as it really helps. Happy truckin!!!!!!!!
'05 F350 6.0 CC LB KR DRW FX4, only 358 happy miles so far, trying to keep it out of the salt until spring, hoping it is as good a truck as my '97 F250 7.3, or the wife's '02 7.3 X
05 F250 SC 4X2 Long Bed Lariat-- Took delivery 12/8. No problems at all. 2400 miles. High mileage 18.5, Low 16.3. Average 17.6 of mixed driving. Do have minor complaint over heat/speed/radio controls on steering wheel. Ford's attempt to get all on a two-spoke steering wheel makes hitting proper button difficult. My GMC SUV with controls on four spokes is much easier to operate. Also believe the "NEXT" button should get you to the next preset station -- not the next station on the dial.
05 F250 cc swb xlt fx4 I picked it up the end of Sept so far 3200 miles and no problems. This truck is awesome!! although I wish it had the hfcm that my manual shows with the drain lever instead of the plug.
'05 F-250 XLT Reg. Cab, 6.0, 6 speed FX4. Only has about 500 miles right now. Just bought it last week, and love it so far. The headlights are awesome, they sure light up the road.
05 F250 XLT ext cab, 6.0, auto, FX4, 3500 Miles, 16-19 mpg avg all highway. Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor was replaced at 2800 miles, occassionally smell exhaust in cab. No major problems, excellent truck wouldn't trade it for the world.
I would however like to trade in the dealership for a better one, but I guess one can't have it all.
13 to 14 MPG city, 16 to 17 highway. One problem, no air out of dashboard right center air duct, they forgot to remove the shipping cover when installing in the vehicle. Other than that, fantastic truck, love this diesel, absolutely flawless performance so far.
Just took delivery of a 2005 Crewcab 4x4, identical to my 2003, except it's black. After one month, I still love it. Waiting for the shocks to install the lift, waiting for the brush guard to be "in stock". Seems a little quieter and a lot smoother riding that the 2003, and maybe a tad faster. BUT I still kept the 03, just gave it to my son, 45000 miles and still running strong.
Only Have 800 miles on my 05 250 PSD CC FX4 and have love it so far. With the a/c on at a stop light, I can smell the diesel exhaust enter the cabin. The only other compaint I have is that the steering seems very light. Does anyone else agree?
Steering seems about the same as my 03 6.0.. ONLY goes down the road straighter with less corrections! I did develop a buzz/vib/creak in the steering wheel (all RPM's) that is being looked into now.. I heard Ford engineering is aware.. It's in the shop getting the torquey trans rebuilt ..2K..

05 350 XL Supercab with a shortbox. 8' Boss snowplow.
It's a work truck. Front end is soft with the coil springs.
6.0 just purrs when plowing. Love the big wheels and tires. No problems.
