Anyone have a clue on how much this may run? One says 40-50 nanother says 150.00 Can youu fabricate something? For now I will climb under and do by hand. thanks for any help
i need the linkage from the main bolt and shifting from cab hanger the pin (bolt is there and Ok but the bracket is what sheered. I have it disassembled now but NO one has any at the area junk yards. They suggested calling ford and orderimg it
im in Upstate NewYork. How much does that Bracket cost any way? it is the casted part that sleave like thing the bolt goes into! and then Mounts tothe linkage mech. Even a price would help? I guess I should just call ford shop. but i do appreciate all the help. am I giving you any insite as to what it is I am looking for? I hope so... Thats the bestv I can give without posting a pic.
hey gang further exploration done on this issue. The Linkage That comes out of the shifter is fine. The Main Bolt cast is attached to the 2nd part of the linkage after it comes from the cab. Rest of linkage is fine. This castining is about 3-5 inches long after the first joint of linkage it seems to have been a solid piece ya think this can be welded? Had to get under and put into 4x4 high. so when the snow flies I dont have to crawl under it. Just thankful the tranny didnt go. MEGA $$$ then. Ford truck 87, DID you happen to see what I meant? What does the shop charge? thanks for the help. ***( the casted area involves the main bolt and 2nd part of linkage. after the 1st dust boot) thanks again gentlemen!
well did you get anything Hunting? I am in the process of getting it pulled and will prob. take it to be welded. If it can be. Meantime I have manualy put in 4wh So in the event I need to I can Use It. Do you think I shoud Disconect it to prevent The poss of slipping it back into neutral or worse cause any further damage. Also If I unlock the hubs can I drive it In 4wh On dry roads?
