The non-Ford scanners won't tell you anything the jumper wire wouldn't. The only way I know of to get datastreaming on an EEC-IV system is to use an actual Ford scanner or a Snap-On with the proper cartridge for the vehicle. All the stuff they show on the ebay ad is OBDII readouts-

& since it was 50% off I purchased the Extension cable too. So basically I'm acting like congress - spending $$ without understanding the content. Guess I'll freeze the credit card in a block of ice & leave it in the freezer for a while.
