My dad's old steel ramps finally crapped out, I drove my friends Geo onto them and they were so rusted underneath that they just crapped out and bent. So I was looking at the papers and I saw an add for Rhino Ramps, they are black abs plastic or something, do they really hold enough weight? I will be putting a mini van on them, my F150, and several smaller cars, will they hold? Do they slide around like the old metal ones?
I don't know I'm kind of afraid of ramps after watching a set crumble underneeth a ford F-250 this last weekend. this was a steel set with the steel center support. I'm glad nobody was under the truck yet when they went.
I've got the Rhino ramps and they look tuff although I haven't tried them yet. They have a rubber block under them to prevent sliding. I got rid of my steel ones because of the rust problem.
I use the Rhino ramps with my Ranger. I think they are good for 8000 lbs. In 15 years if you left them in the sun, they will probably crumble like all the plastic parts in your truck.
I bought a set of these to change the oil on my small import cars. When I got my Expy I was leary until I read the rating. Now I use them and also use jackstands to be on the safe side. You can NEVER be to safe!
You may have another option. There are ramps made out of recycled tires. No sliding, no collapsing. I think they're called the EZ Rizer rubber car ramp.
Check Canadian Tire Online in the "creepers, jacks and stands" section of "Automotive".

i use them (Rhino) on my f-250 supercab diesel, to be honest if you turn your wheels or go to a edge it does start to cave in. however if you just drive up normally it works great.
They make two series of Rhino Ramps, one has a 12,000lb capacity per pair, the other 8000lb. I have a set of the heavier ones and they work great. My Bullitt will go right up them without rubbing the nose...I can't even get most floor jacks under it. I've had the SuperDuty on them and never thought twice about it.
