Man Tim I was in total agreement with a couple of slight variations until I got to item number9!Here,please let me elaborate.

I would say just kill me, as I have no desire to live in outerspace. We've have pretty much screwed up earth- I don't know if we have the right to screw up any more.

I would bring 100ft pachute cord, good knife, leatherman, tarp, good matches, one of those guns from the movies that can shoot 1000 rounds without re-loading, a case of MREs, a sleeping bag, a water filter, and the entire printout of all of FTE for something to read.

3) a quantum physicist with a vast knowledge of building long distance travel spacecraft (in case I want to go home and we're far)

7) diamond tip drill for making big holes in mountains (didn't specify what survival meant....maybe I need to dig or blast a home?)

I would bring 10 things that I think would be good to give to the aliens....
