Man Tim I was in total agreement with a couple of slight variations until I got to item number9!Here,please let me elaborate.
#1 I agree could be either man or woman, they are both good in that feild
#2 I used to date a female astronomer, she was real good at it.I think it was because her head was always in the clouds!
#3 I agree,I would not want a woman coming at me with a knife
#4 See#3
#5 I think I would rather it was a woman. After all, all the women I have ever met where real civil at first!
#6The cook.Has to be a female.I dont like the idea of some guy touchin something Im going to eat!
#7 Agreed.I have read some real interesting books by some male philosophers, like Robin Williams, and Rodney Dangerfeild.
#8 Agreed,a documentarian could be either.
#9 WHAT!No Way!When I think of a female historian,I think of Miss Haggly from high school. You know the one,she called the wart on her nose a beauty mark!Remember her wicked smile whenever somebody got hurt.No Way!I spent the last two years of highschool trying to get away from her,I aint takin her nowhere!

hmm...
1.) I'd take all you guys, box you up for the trip, that way yall can come alone with ALL your ten things, that way I don't have to worry about guns, ammo, or beer.
2.) a crate of BDUs, all different colors and styles, for any terrain
3.) an eighteen-wheeler full of MREs
4.) a .22 Pistol with plenty of ammo, and a silencer for it
5.) rucksack for carrying things
6.) a set of Ninja-to swords. They don't run out of ammo.
7.) Sog Hunter Revolver knife and sheath
8.) personal hygeine kit
9.) Cristina Scabbia
10.) crates of rubbers (for everybody who forgot to bring them

C'mon guys, they never specified any weight/size restrictions.

Greg

You know they have a hitchhikers Guide movie coming out soon!!!

I would bring 100ft pachute cord, good knife, leatherman, tarp, good matches, one of those guns from the movies that can shoot 1000 rounds without re-loading, a case of MREs, a sleeping bag, a water filter, and the entire printout of all of FTE for something to read.

Tom Hanks just needed ice skates!

1) a case of grenades (protection)

3) a quantum physicist with a vast knowledge of building long distance travel spacecraft (in case I want to go home and we're far)
4) MacGyver
5) MacGyver's survival kit (his must be better than mine)
6) C4...tons of it (Hannibal will know how to use it)
7) diamond tip drill for making big holes in mountains (didn't specify what survival meant....maybe I need to dig or blast a home?)
8) a helicopter (for murdock to fly me around)
9) Daisy Fuentes
10) the end of the rope that I tied to my Bronco when I left

I would bring 10 things that I think would be good to give to the aliens....
perhaps visuals about our history or something along those lines, and a photo album of my family assuming I left them behind.
