So, you are leaving earth, never to return, you have no choice. You have no idea where you are going, but you can survive there. You have been told you may bring 10 items only, no more. What would you bring?

12 rolls of bathroom tissue. Not knowing where Im going, I wouldn't know what else Id need. May not even need the TP.

well seriously now; i would bring:
a nice knife, a good pair of boots, a self powered short wave radio, a big tarp, long johns, "abbey road" by the beatles, a big box of strike anywhere matches, my leatherman, and, of course, the towel.

I dont know why all of you bring radios. What the hell are you going to listen to in space? No need unless your bringing something to listen to.
