Maybe where you live. I have lived on the west coast and in Texas, and I have yet to see a rusty Nissan. Or a rusty anything else for that matter, that didn't come from some other part of the country.
No snow, no cold weather, and no ice in either palce...and no salt.....usually means no rust....until you drive them on the beach.
Who reads Car and Driver? I didn't know they reviewed trucks.
All in all you'll get no major gripes from me about the F150. It had a cream-puff body design back in the mid-1990's, and that's when the other companies stepped in to slice out business.
The return to the squared off body design is the right direction. It just needs a mini-diesel.
F-deauce50- you oviously have no idea what your talking about, the ford has 3 valve heads but it also has variable valve timing, the titan does not have variable timing, ford did have the option of using 4 valve heads as the navigator does use a 4 valve 5.4 and it produces 300hp an 355 lb ft of torque, a very nice engine but even it is outgunned buy nissan 5.6. Also the aluminum block that nissan uses does use cast iron cylinder liners. They did consider durability when they built this truck.
Ford also had the option of using the Cobra R DOHC cylinder heads, which are good for 385 hp.
As for car and driver, yeah, the Nissan won that comparison, but the F150 won the truck of the year from them in the next issue. They thought that the F150 did a better job of being a truck.
Whoa we have a Nissan fan. FTE attracts all kinds dont it. Enjoy your Nissan man. Ill enjoy my 150.
I'm not some Nissan wingnut. I liked my 150 that I just traded in. I strongly considered buying another. I just don't appreciate some of the untrue statements that have been made on this thread.
I posted the Car and Driver reviews to show that F150 and Titan were 1 and 2. They're both good trucks. I'm sure that if I had purchased the F150 I would have been happy with it.
Someone suggested that I should have looked at PSD/Torqueshift, if I had the money for that it would have been a game changer because I have always had a fascination with owning a diesel pickup.

This isn't really a bag of worms you want to open. The Titan has won just about every other magazines award beating out the F150 in each. However, those are just mag articles and not real world experiences. The Titan does have stupid quality control issues that shouldn't be present. Although they aren't major, they can be annoying.
Wrong, NISSAN were always crap, even back when they were DATSUN. You must not drive your trucks hard. All i'm saying dude, is that NISSAN has 4-valve and should produce more power. FORD is producing the same power with less TECHNOLOGY. Why don't you carefully read my post before making an arguement. GEEEEEEEZZUZ
Well, educated or not, the Titan is not going to be a major factor in the truck market in the USA. Americans, for the most part, just won't have one, because it's a Nissan. That's the deal, man.

That's about exactly what Ford and Chevy were thinking in the 50s and 60s when it came to cars.

And now the plant manager at the Nissan plant in Canton, Mississippi is telling the news media that Nissan is gearing up for a heavy duty pickup with diesel power. Guys, I think they are serious and are not going to go away.
Yea, the first effort at a heavy duty truck might have only a few configurations and might be criticized as having too many doors, or not a long enough bed, or something, but these guys are serious and we had better pay attention. Those diesel engines have been very well regarded for many years in Europe. Just something to think about.
