best compression
what is the best compression for a 30 over 351m. i will be using a comp cams 255 or 265 deh cam. its a complete rebuild give me your ideas. thanks in advance. robbin

With a 255DEH, you could use 9.0:1. With a 265DEH 9.5:1 should be OK.
The problem that you have is getting those CRs. Stock pistons are about 8.0:1. There is a TRW piston that gets up to about 8.5:1. You can use Aussie heads with the 8.0:1 pistons and either cam, but you will need more cam than the 265DEH to use Aussie heads with the higher CR pistons.
