Where and what do I look at to find out what rear end gears I have.
The sticker on the door doesnt make sense. The numbers over the axle section says 86 which would be for a chassis body and I have a F 350 pick up.

That faq doesnt seem to match what I find on the door sticker.
The space where it says axle is blank under it and over it ,it specifies chassis cab dually and I have a single wheel f 350 pick up

Based on the numbers you posted I would think your second line would read 3 L 73. Which would be a 3.73 gear ratio with a limited slip (many times the first number is hard to read because of the diff cover bolt that holds the tag on).
