what gears do i have?
how does one go about figuring out what gears are on their truck?

On you B pillar inside the drivers door there is a data tag. Post up a picture of that and we can decode it for you. More details on your truck would help too.

Sometimes there is a tab on the rear axle with the code as well.

the '00s didnt have it on the door tag. you can check the vin or the axle tag.

chances are they are 3:73s or you may luck out and have 4:30s.

i've struck out 3 times and got 3:73s.

So we are talking about a 2000 V10? I missed the info.

Since there is no tag, simply go to a dealer and ask the service manager for the build info. Its free, you just need your vin.
