my 58 f 150 was doing just fine until bout three days ago then it started acting funny when i start it and let it idle for a while it seems to flood does any one know why this would happen
First off, do you realize you are in the 80-86 trucks and not in teh older section?
First guess would be a sticking choke. As it heats up, the choke should be opening to let the truck run more lean but if yours is sticking, that will flood it.
Could be mechanical or as simple as spraying it with carb cleaner if it is gummed up.
What motor? Stock? Old carburated or beefed up after market 4 barrel?
