351w no start
I have a 88f350 with a 351w efi, the cab was really rusty so I replaced the cab so that involved pulling the wire harness, I put the cab on and put the all the wires back in but it won't start, I can jump the solenoid and it will crank but when I turn the ignition it lightly ticks from the relays, before I was having a problem with it not starting but I could always here the fuel pump turn on and then I was able to jup the solenoid and it would start. now when you turn the ignition you can't here the fuel pump. Any answers will help

ok, so even if you put the key in the run position, jump the starter solenoid, it still wont fire up ? i have an 88 model and never do hear any of the fuel pumps turn on, neither the frame mounted nor the tank mounted. if you were hearing the fuel pump (s) before, it could 've been a sign it was on its way to complete failure, so check for voltage at fuel pump (s) when you first turn the key to run (get a helper to turn key while you hold test light,you only got a few seconds before the computer quits sending juice). regardless of what you find with the fuel pump electrical test, you must fix the problem with no crank from key switch,whatever it may be, and you may solve both problems at one time .
