I know this might seem like a stupid question but I was researching trans upgrades and I kept seeing in over and over. What the hell is it?
FTVB = Factory Tech Valve Body
It's a transmission upgrade that is a little higher up the mod ladder than the sonnax valve and tri'springs - you just unbolt your stock valve body, slap this FTVB on and you are done.
I am very happy with my FTVB. Stock mushy shifts are nice tight & positive now. It doesn't slam into gears, it just don't slip as much as before. It will get me by until a BTS trans.
