Getting bent over by dealerships!

I just returned from a trip to Northern Florida. I live in Northern Va.

The Excursions are going for about $49,000 on up there! I spoke to one man who told me that he had waited almost a year to get his. He wanted diesel and loves it. Ours listed for $42,800 and we paid about $34,500. We drove an 1 1/2 to get that price. Much better than what the local dealer was offering. They wouldn't come off a single dime! Well worth it to me.

Hold your ground or check out the internet. Or better yet, buy me a 1-way ticket from Houston and I'll drive one out to you!!!!!LOL.......Husband said NOT....oh well......

Was that price you got in Virginia or Florida? I be interested in hearing how to go about getting a deal like that. I know several years ago there was a truck dealer in SC that had prices on new duallys around 5000-7000 less than dealers here in NC.

Getting bent over by dealerships!

We did that at a dealership in Silver Springs, Maryland. We're actually located in Northern Va. and we were fortunate that there was no traffic Always a good day when you don't have that. The dealership was called Crystal Ford,Kia,Dawa or something like that....I'll look it up for you later. They were great to me/us....They even like women there! LOL They also told me that sinceI had done some serious homework, I knew when I was getting a great deal. I just asked for a full tank of gas and then ran out of there with that price! I considered it a steal! Now we're just trying to come up with a nickname for a vanity plate. Any ideas? 7 words or less...So far we have 5 & TWNS, IMBROKE, and my favorite--GOT GAS--that could be taken different ways though....Summer

Getting bent over by dealerships!

I purchased my Excursion PSD at Randall Reed Ford in Humble in July. Went in and told them I wanted the $7500 off window sticker they were giving on V10's plus wanted .9% interest. I left with my new Excursion. Love the beast!

We've bought our Ford trucks through Ravenel Ford in Ravenel, SC (just outside of Charleston) for $98 over INVOICE pricing. 843-722-1822 you could call to see if they have your truck with your options. We are currently in CA right now, but plan on buying an Excursion from them and driving it back out here. Best of luck, Dawn

Go to Kylie, just west of HOU,(Kylie Ford). I heard the dealership in Victoria.
both had pretty good deals with some 4X2's out there, I just bought mine here in Dallas, Black XLT 4X4 V10 and everything the limited has except the embroided seats and the arizona beige, really good power, paid 35K plus taxes, and got the .9% for 36 months, try buying the Dallas Morning News on saturday, you might see pretty good prices, and it's not too far of a drive to save big.
This truck is well worth it!

Getting bent over by dealerships!

depends on where u reside. of course the excursion is cheaper in florida,, its a market scheme.. up north in the woods is where its selling, and for u down south - its a lincoln taxi..... enjoy it, but for its real use,, talk to them who own them up north where the snow piles deep......

Getting bent over by dealerships!

I just picked up my 2002 Excursion (Ordered it about 6 or 7 weeks ago)PSD Limited Ultimate, every option except CD changer and 2nd row buckets, base invoice for Limited Ultimate is just under 42K go to www.edmunds.com (base XLT 2WD w/ 5.4 is under 32K)and get exact dealer invoice and list prices for any car or truck with the exact options you want. No one should ever pay more than a few hundred over invoice + tax & Tag. I Paid Dealer Invoice $43,500 +$98.00 Mark up +199.00 "Dealer fee" + Tax & Tag. Deal of the week is 0.0% for 36 or $1000.00 Cash back or I took 2.9% for 48 Months
List was about $49550.00 + Tax and fees or about $53,000 where I am. There are dealers out there who will cut into thier hold back and cut a few more bucks under invoice but this was the local dealer close to my office whom I have dealt with for a long time.

You need to order your vehicle. Vehicles off the lot can be wrecked and repaired and still sold to you as brand new because the title to the vehicle wasn't transferred. By ordering your vehicle you will be able to negotiate the best price. I always check the price with edmunds.com and then pay $100-200 over the invoice price. I am currently selling my 2000 ltd ,4x4, PSD if you are interested in buying used. My 2002 isn't due for another 6 wks. Good luck

Getting bent over by dealerships!

I hate to make all of you hopping mad but there is a way to get any and all Ford products including our precious Excursion at 4% UNDER factory invoice! It is called the X plan and if you listen very carefully I'll let you in on the secret!

1. Ford gives major discounts to employees and business associates. A plan is for active employees Z plan is for retirees and X plan is for business partners.

2. One of these partners is EAA. This company is a aeronautical club and is all into planes and such...BUT if you join their club...$40 a year no obligations...you are eligible for X plan pricing on all Ford's vehicles...yes lincoln and mercury too!

3. I do not work for any of these people! I have come over to look at this site and I was saddened that the wealth of shopping knowledge over at Ford-diesel.com was soo much greater!

4. If you want to do this go to www.EAA.org and sign up today! This loophole will be found out at some point and will be closed, so get in while the gittin's good!

5. This is perfectly legal and I wouldn't waste my time emailing it if it wasn't important and good...I'm a pastor for crying out loud! Ha! Really though, I am!

If you have any questions email me!
