Red face Amp ???
I installed a Pioneer H/U. I thought the 22W RMS per channel was good enough. Wrong! I have Kenwood speakers in that handle 60 RMS. Would an amp of 40 RMS make a difference. I am not going for the bass. Just want it a little louder. And how are Alpine amps?

Alpine amps are sopposed to be very clear.

Decks put out about 7wrms per channel. Almost any external amp woud be better.

you should look at matching the amp to the speakers your running if your looking for quality

decks put out 7 RMS watts? what? how do you figure that? mine's putting out 26 watts RMS x 4 and it's true power

Alpine amps are great. I just installed an Alpine MRV-F450 5 channel amp in my truck and love it. It's conservatively rated at 50X4 and 200X1. Great sounding to.

I bet that your HU is an Alpine. Like you said, their power ratings are real and are "CEA-2006 compliant." I am really enjoying my CDA-9835.

no its a blaupunkt, and i spent $350 on it, im pretty sure it's true RMS ratings
