right now i have infinity 6.5" refrence speakers in the doors and two pioneer 3way 6x9's in boxes in the back. i just ordered lanzar 2 channel amp does 300watts bridged at 4 ohms and i ordered a lanzar single 12" bandpass system to go with the amp. the 12 is rated to handle 500watts max and didn't give me estimate rms. so i got the 300 watt rms amp to go with it that should be plenty of power and about what it needs rms wise judgeing by comparing rms versus peak on other woofers etc. i bought it because it would probably sound good enough at normal listening levels and provide the bass i want. this isn't a competion system or anything and im on a serious budget. got the amp and woofer system for $170 shipped. ill let you know how it sounds.
Is that a Lanzar "Vibe" amp? I got one for my highs/mids (4 JL audio 5x7 Evolution TR's) and it does the job but I don't think it can really power a 12" sub in a bandpass box. Remember 300W is the max rating. Well I hope it sounds good. Let us know how it works out.
remember i can still run 2 ohms impedance if needed and get twice as much power and still have good sound quality. this isn't a competion system after all.
edit: will i need anything special to hook up the amp? i already have an aftermarket headunit with 2 rca preamp outs. its listed in first post. the amp is gonna only drive the woofer the others are gonna stay running off the headunit, they sound fine there.
