Ordered a Edge w/monitor today!

Well I ordered a Edge Juice with monitor, talked to a guy in LA and he had one out of a test shop truck that was just used for test purposes only so its like brand new he said and gave me all man. warranty and a great deal.

He said there is no prints left behind with this one cause it doesn't mess with the computer's memory. He said all flash tuners erase everything and the dealer can't see what you did but knows you did something. Does this sound right to you fellas?

He said they have sold about bunch of these and has never had a problem. He has one in his personal truck and never had a problem and can unistall it in about 5 mins. He has had his truck in the shop once and they didn't say anything but he unistalled it too.

I hope I like it and made the right decision. I get worried when I get anything for this truck cause it just to much money.

ANY evidence from ANY computer enhancement device can be totally erased with the proper precautions - boxes, tuners, whatever. Don't let any of the warranty stuff bother you.

I LOVE my Edge module. It far outpulls the tuner. One thing you need to keep in mind, is that it takes quite a while to get used to the shifting; around 400-600 miles. Try to avoid pounding on it while it is getting adjusted or it will stumble and sputter like crazy. Just let it learn and enjoy You will love it.

I have the edge with monitor and i am thrilled to death with it. The pull neveer ends. I also have the AFE intake and Magnaflow 4.5 exhaust. It sounds healthy. I had to disconnect it today when I went to the dealer to reprogram my tire size for 35' BFG's now i am gonna take it easy til the edge re learns my system. I unhooked so as not to have any computer conflicts at the dealership. Better safe than sorry.

I also have the edge with the attitude and in my opinion it is the best.. Just let the trans get use to the added power like 400 to 600 miles in each stage.. I was told start at level 3 and run it in that for 300 400 miles than the same for each level after that. I have that banks monster exhaust from the turbo back and a green filter air filter because i like the way the factory air box filters out the dirt

Sounds sweet But doesen't AFE give twice as much flow and more filtration than the stocker

sales people for the aftermarket also flow about twice as much air......

Good one. I'm sure they up sold my pretty well. After I lifted it and Looked at the performance upgrades all day while I waited. Naturally I didn't sleep that night. The next day i went down and got em. And honestly my only concern is keeping it on the road when you MASH IT! I am a little concerned about axle wrap. Thinking about traction bars.

I had an aftermarket driveshaft installed after the lift and the edge.. It is a straight shaft with no hanger bearing and no more flutter. The shaft has all the grease fittings and easy to maintain.. The stock shaft just dident cut it for me but that is just me I like changing all the parts that i dont think ford makes right..

I have the edge on a 05, I put it on with 100 miles on the truck. I am towing 16K, I do get a wash board effect going towards grades when adding alittle peddel. I was told by ATS that my torq. conv. was probley not locking up. Today I was told by two different shops that if I would put in the supper chip the problem would go away becaue they are also controling the trans. Any one else experience this. If I put it to the floor the problem goes away..

Also recently put edge/attitude on 04. After initial tranny learn it shifts great. It did take about 600 or so miles. Still wondering a couple of things- is mileage better or worse on higher levels? I can't determine yet. Also, is there any long term effects on driving in the higher levels ( conservatively of coarse) from to much timing or whatever happens to get more hp. Thanks.

kingfish do u have a crew cab or extended cab?? i have a crew cab and the flutter u are having is the same i was having until i replaced the stock drive shaft with a aftermarket one.. Mine goes straight from the trans to the rear with 1 single shaft not 2 and a hanger bearing. The hanger bearing is encased in rubber and the drive shaft wobbles around inside the rubber that is where u get that washboard effect..

I have a Crew cab... I will look into this. I was thinking about pulling the edge and trying the super chip, but I really like the power and some of the features of the edge. ATS thought I may not have enough preasure in the torq. conv. to lock it up. Once I put it to the floor the was board goes away.
