Just gotta put in another vote for Sconyers here in Augusta. Just got home from there, I had the turkey, wife had ribs, daughter had chipped pork and son-in-love had chipped beef. We always ask for our favorite waitress, Joan, and she does an outstanding job.

On another note, any of y'all ever tried Lucious Abrams' BBQ sauce? Mr. Abrams is from nearby Waynesboro, and I read in the 'Boro paper that he is in need of a kidney transplant, is now on dialysis. He has been long-time customer at our radiator shop, and we would sure appreciate if y'all would add him to your prayer list.

We tried Country Boy's also and really enjoyed it. Yesterday, a customer was telling about Purvis's BBQ in Louisville, so that may be our next stop. It 's on the US-1 bypass, going toward Wadley.

Scale of 1(poor) to 10) awesome:
Two Brothers, Acworth - 10; great pork, super veggies, done southern, top it off with
a bowl of homemade vanilla ice cream. Sawdust on the floor
of the barn (restaurant).
Spice Right, Lilburn - 9.5 Super pulled pork, great ribs, cornbread to sop incredible
Brunswick stew and beans, man the beans.
Cluckin' Pig, Buford - 9.5 All good, super ribs, super pulled pork.
Dillard's, Suwanee - 9.0 Great pulled pork, just a little too much vinegar in sauce.
Super size sandwich.
Shiela's, Alphretta (off Providence Rd) - 8.0 Used to be an old gas station. Great
stop for a sandwich. Pulls the pork and puts in a crock pot with
just the right amount of sauce, simmers alllllllll day. A super
sandwich.
Tex

Purvis did'nt impress me to much. I would'nt make a special trip. you pass by a whole lot of really good food between Augusta and Louisville on that ride.
