Front locking hubs replacment how?????
I have an 1984 F-250 with an heavy duty axles, dana 44 front the truck has an 8600lbs GVW. well I have an grinding noise coming front hub when it is unlocked. well I want to replace it with milemarker hubs and wanted to know what tools are needed. Thanks for the help
You will need a hex wrench to get the cap screws off (On my F150, it's an 11/64ths). A pick set is handy, but not required. You'll also need a set of GOOD snap ring pliers. The only decent ones I've ever seen are the snap-on ones. The cheapies will bend the tips more often than not.
Once you get the tools, it's a very easy swap. Shouldn't take you more than an hour to do both sides.
