I'd have to get permission from the source to name it. If you want I'll ask but they do a lot (I'm guessing) of business with Ford owners and since he seems to give an advantage to the Allison I didn't feel it would be considerate to him to make his private message public. Of course, this was one person's response and the official statement from the company would most likely be much more balanced.
I'm definitely not in the automotive business if that's what you're getting to. I'm just a guy that likes to go faster than the next while spending as little money and time as possible.
i'm sorry but if he deals with alot of fords we need to know. if hes a dealer of aftermarket parts what he says isn't private. unless of course he's a friend and told you over beers.
I've e-mailed back to the vendor asking for permission to reveal the source.
That response was from an inquiry to their sales team. I also e-mailed their tech support yesterday and had received this response:
"With the Torque shift any thing over 100 hp you will have a learning period. That is normal with any one that is going over 100 hp. One thing to look at is that if it does go out there aren't any upgrades. Just something to think about. Let me know if you need any information."

"...sales team..." Well there you go! Sorry Beachbumcook. You know the difference between a computer sales person and a used car sales person? The used car sales knows when they are lying (lieing ??)!
