How can you overspool the turbo on the 6.0? It has a wastegate that prevents this from happening.

Oops, my mistake. I could have sworn it had a wastegate. What limits boost on the turbo, or is there no device to limit boost?

So will the elimination of the Cat and muffler on the '04 6.0's do a lot for performance?
I looked under my truck and didn't notice and exhaust sensors. Will it help or hurt in the long run?

Federal law prohibits removal of the cat. Gale banks did flow tests on the cat and reported there is no restriction in the cat. Most have been cutting the inlet and outlet pipe at the point where it will fit a 4" pipe and weld it into the system after it is installed.

The removal of the muffler and replacement with a performance muffler or straight pipe if you can stand the noise will help a lot they say. Mine still has the stock exhaust and with the Predator on 100 HP and A K&N FIPK my dyno sheet on my gallery shows it makes plenty of power.

Some say they pick up as much a 2 MPG improvement in mileage witha 4" system. It would take lots of tanks of fuel to pay for it.

I think it comes down to being able to say mine is bigger than yours. By the way, I plan to put one om mine as soon as it cools off here in Texas, but you know what I mean!

No waste gate. It has variable vanes on the exhaust side of the turbo. These vanes are computer controlled and act as a waste gate as needed.

Here is another thought. The outlet flange on the turbo is 3.5 inches. Anything larger than that will not help flow and could induce turbulance which would actually restrict flow.

Southernfordman...
you may have to post a dyno with those kind of numbers !!!

NO ONE has produced those kind ---
not even the fictional marketing execs at superchips !!!

And the customers have been more or less disappointed with the numbers !
