No need to take any photos. There's no doubt that the item which you describe is anything but an OEM anti-swaybar. The photos in the link I posted were of an F250 Hellwig bar. The Excursion anti-swaybar connects to the lower rear shock mounts ... just like you described ... and just like my Hellwig anti-swaybar is attached ... except the Hellwig bar's drop-links connect to the outboard sides of the frame rails.
Mine don't connect to the shock mounts, they have their own mounts. But my shock mount don't have the cool skid plates either.
Ha-Ha! Thanks! (Spartan refers to my wedding this coming Saturday, July 24th.) Speaking of which, when I drive through Nashville on I-40 a day or two later, I may telephone your place to say, "Hi!" But don't worry 'cause I won't do it if we're passing through at 2AM. Heading to the Grand Canyon, Vegas & other points west. Y'all keep your eyes peeled for an Excursion with "LAND YOT" Virginia vanity plates.
Excellent - e-mail me and give me some details on your plans and an ETA - it will take you 12 hours from there to here via I64, I81, I40, but I'm willing to bet that you are stopping in the mountains on the way. You are welcome for dinner and overnight if you would like and I promise not to delve into any subjects other than trucks. LOL
I-64 & I-81 to I-40? I've been that way before. This time I was contemplating US58 west from Norfolk, onto I-85 at South Boston, and pick-up I-40 west in NC. No other subjects to discuss? Not even Class III FA's? Well, shoot (pun intended).
Sorry for the confusion - Landyot was absolutely correct (I should have known). I missed the part inside the shock mounts that does indeed run up and over the diff - e.g. sway bar. I was under the impression mine did not come with one, so dismissed the obvious out of hand...
jhaskin - No problem. Where would any of us be if we didn't have anything to learn? Heck ... I don't know anything and I can prove it, too! (ha-ha)
jdadamsjr - Not much need to worry. My bride is very understanding of my interests. One of the greatest aspects I love about this woman is her tolerance of my peculiarities. She's a darn good catch IMHO.
