Can I check the output voltage from the DPFE sensor with a voltmeter? I have a 96 F150 with the check engine light pointing to this sensor. I feel pulsating pressure at both input and reference lines. I have 5 volts reference input but do not have the specs on what the out should be.
I just went through this. Cold you should have 5v +/-? on one side and almost nothing on the other. After reaching 113 degrees there should be 5v on both sides.
The pulsing vacume is right. The way it was explained to me . . . these don't operate on strength (inches) of vacume, they operate on frequecy. Faster or longer (?) pulses open the EGR valve more.
